“Space Dive” was my collection I designed for the Miami University Fashion & Design’s 17th annual fashion show. I designed and made all of these garments to fit my models and be ready to walk down the runway. Each piece is made of woven and knit textiles, mainly scuba crepe and organza.

“Space Dive aims to capture the elegant flow of color and movement observed throughout the universe. It represents the beauty of exploration and discovery in the unnerving world of the unknown around us. The neverending territory to explore provides us with endless possibilities of color and light to take inspiration from, and remind us of what lies beyond.”
Space Dive
This is my first look, which I themed around a galaxy and the color contrast that takes place against the black emptiness of space and stars. The black fabric is a scuba crepe with small shiny sequins that create a star look, and is complimented by the color-layered organza sleeves.
In my second look I wanted to capture the feeling of looking out at space through a small lens, and play on the theme of retro-futurism a bit with the contrasting stark white. The white fabric is a scuba crepe as well with a sparkly tulle layered on top, and the blue midriff is made of layered organza.
For my third and final look, I was inspired by a supernova through the bright and vibrant colors bursting from a center point against the black stars, which can be seen from the neckline throughout the cape. The cape and stripe are made from organza, while the black fabric is made from the same scuba crepe as Look 1.
